Hope you enjoyed and see you, or it’ll be more appropriate to say, see me in my video. Tonnes of kisses. Byyyyyye. walks up to the screen and ends the video.
I’ve always dreamed to say that once. Feels so cool right!? Even tho it should have been a video… and should have been on youtube… also I should have subscribers… and this was more an outro than an intro… Urgh. I give up, it’s not for now.
Anyway guys, welcome back to my blog and just welcome to the new ones. As you may have seen the title of the video I’m gonna talk about my Genius Hour Project (GHP) #2 Reflection Blog post. So let’s get started so let’s get started and you’ll see what its’ all about.
(still did it yo, double dabbing)
Let’s say that my genius hour project was a bit controversial this time, not to say totally controversial.
While some people talked about some important issues, referring to autism right now, like my dear Lucie ( go check out her blog) I chose something way more different. My subject was: learning “how to get confident by singing”.
To be honest, this idea literally pop out in my mind while I was thinking about what I could get for my lunch and I don’t know why it still surprises me. I mean I am pretty shy and as I am a so great comedian (😎😛😎) I found out how to hide this disability: playing the crazy girl all my life long. Wait, disability to connect with others, pretty shy, has a talent… Am I not a genius???
Just kidding… or maybe not.
Still I wanted to be a bit different this time so my project was “Learning how to be more confident by singing” and as I said in my last post, “If you know me, you understand that I enjoy singing while I am not Mariah Carey. You’d also know that I am really shy and I am hiding it by acting very very crazy. So, this project is very important to me because I really really wanna improve in both public speaking and singing.”
Summarising what I learned,
- Trust yourself, you sing because you’re great. Don’t let others make you uncomfortable or it’ll show when you’re singing and they won’t know how great you can do.
- Take deep breaths, if you don’t you’ll never be able to finish the whole song and reach those high notes all singers are basically working on.
- Work hard on any song, work is the key, without it you’ll never get better.
- Know your range, because you’ll get frustrated by not singing other ranges song, it’s just not your fault.
- Working within your vocal range, just at first to get better and then fix those other ranges and yell: “I’M COMING FOR YOU”
- Never feel PUSHED, FIXED, or FROZEN, you don’t need more pressure than you already have.
- Know your level, don’t be harsh on yourself, you’ll get there one day, don’t exaggerate or you’ll just never get there because you lost your voice.
The main idea of a GHP is to help you grow as a person.
This one did, in a personal way. I still won’t go to people and start talking to them because I feel like it would be great, but it helped me know that I was capable of doing things I’d never thought I could do. I feel a tiny bit greater now and I try to challenge myself often. Who knows, maybe one day it’ll get me president…
Finally, help to the community
I would not say that this project helped the community ,it did not at all. Also, for my next GHP I don’t really know what to do but if one thing is for sure, I want it to be helpful to the orphans. Maybe it can help kids out of senegal to. So, guys I invite you to come back in a few and if you like it maybe you could promote it and you to try to change the world.
